collective.3

Sometimes this is all we need:  kale chips, cashews, poetry.  Rice in a pot, broccoli in a bowl, Alice Fulton's Culture of One and Arianna Reines' newest, with a shiny cover which acts like a mirror.  We read to one another.  Some of what we've written, some of what others have written.

There is discussion of trends, of false consciousness and posturing.  Who knows where we slip in.  We are just beginning.

We are wintering.  We are cooking whole foods in big pots in small kitchens.  We are pressing thumbs into our breastbones as we bow.

Such a beautiful way to spend time together.
